MED Marine Fire Proximity Suit. DNV Certified

Our MED Fire Proximity Suit is composed of heat resistant Jacket and trousers for approaching a fire in an emergency.

MED has been designed to protect the wearer against brief contact with the flame, convective heat and radiant heat in maritime emergency situations

This PPE is a close proximity suit and not suitable for protection against flame engulfment. It should therefore not be used as primary protection under flame exposure.

The suit has been tested to be compliant with EN ISO 13688: 2013 and ISO 15538: 2001 level 2.

Composition:

Jacket
The suit is made with a 4-layer compound:
Exterior in 100% aluminised soft para aramid fibre; two layers of carbon lining and an inner layer in FR cotton.
100% twaron thread seams.
The JACKET has a front opening and a velcro closure FR.
The neck is 8/10 cm high.
Smooth back without stitching on center back (no clothing yoke).

Trousers
Same fabric contraction as the jacket
Made with adjustable straps in polypropylene for rapid fastening and height adjustment.
Overlap between the jacket and trousers is approx. 50 cm.
